Weight Watchers is pretty much all about portion control. The ads tell you that you can eat whatever you want. Which is true, you can. You are just limited to how much you can eat.
Take chips for example. You can eat chips. The key is to only eat an actual serving of chips. So when I want to indulge in some delicious Chili Cheese Fritos, I can. However, I can’t just pop open a bag, turn on Netflix and dig in. Which to be honest, breaks my heart a little bit. If there is anything I love just as much as food, it’s convenience .Now, when I open up the bag of chips I HAVE TO COUNT OUT a serving size. Usually this can be found in teeny tiny letters on the back of the bag of chips. My beloved Chili Cheese Fritos serving size? About 31 chips. It seems like a lot in theory, but let me tell you about the sadness that overcomes me when I eat those 31 chips and realize that the joy is over.
On the flip side, you are encouraged to eat as much fruit and veggies as you want. So you don’t have to count those. However, this junk food addict finds little joy in eating a bag of broccoli. Very little joy.
I know in the long run eating healthier and eating less will be better for me and my desire to live a long and healthy life.
But once I get to Heaven, you better believe I’m eating all the dang chips I want to!
